With well over 13 years of experience in both the South African public and private sectors, Bhekisisa served almost decade with the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA), later founded Bheki Hlongwe Consulting, which was later converted into Oongoti Consulting, after which he became Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Newcastle Local Municipality for a year, which gave him first-hand experience in municipal finance.
It is here that he determined a clear market gap for the provision of beneficial financial consulting services to public sector departments for measurably improving fiscal operations and reporting. In taking over the management consultancy, Bhekisisa combined his practical industry insights and expertise in the fields of auditing, international standards, tax and business management to provide cost-efficient, target-driven and client-centric solutions.

He is a killed strategist who transforms strategic plans into workable solutions and benchmarks performance against key operational targets/ goals.
He has proven success and track record on delivering optimal results in high growth environments that exceed performance targets in financial management, operations improvements, cost reduction, revenue growth.

He is presently an Engagement Director having served at the highest level of the Auditing & Accounting profession for over 10 years. His career experience includes Associate Professorship at a number of universities such as Fort Hare, University of Limpopo, NMMU, WSU and UCT. With a strong interest in developing potential CA (SA)s, Temba took the initiative to identify and develop capable students to become Chartered Accountants and won the ABASA President’s award for this role.
